Biography
In 2000, in the northern suburbs of Paris, Astro created his first graffiti art.
Focusing at first on lettering and wild style, this self-taught and passionate artist brings his knowledge and technique to an abstract art that mixes curves, calligraphy and dynamic shapes.
Inspired by artists such as Hartung, Vasarely and Mucha, Astro has created his own world. He exploits the subtlety of shadows and lights, the strength of colors and the perspective of depth.
This muralist is at ease with large formats. He has inscribed his art on walls in the heart of the city, but he also likes to work in the studio. Astro's work is characterized by spontaneity and impulsiveness. He tricks the viewer's eye by distorting the flatness of facades and paintings, creating impressive optical illusions.
His energy and originality make Astro one of the most important street artists. His presence at many international festivals (USA, London, Italy, Germany, Portugal...) proves it. Astro has now joined the CBS Crew based in Los Angeles.
